As an amateur runner, the Polar RS100 heart rate monitor perfectly suits my needs. It is ideal for beginners who are looking for basic training tools such as the heart rate tracker and the target zone.
The target zone feature allows me to define my running session and tells me if I’m running at the right intensity.
It does take a little bit of time to adjust to running with a heart rate monitor. Some of the running I used to do was too fast. Some of it was too slow.
It is easy to use and understand. I am not a specialist on heart rate monitors. But I would say that this is good for you if you are a beginning runner.
When you are more experienced you would probably want to upgrade to either a more advanced Polar or one of those cool but very expensive Garmins.
But if you are relatively new to it all like I am, then the Polar RS100 heart rate monitor is a good place to start.
