I am happy I did. In my opinion, Daniel's Running Formula is the best book there is about running. I have read a few, but none give such a clear explanation about running training, why to do what, how much to do etc.
If someone asks me to give them running advice, I always tell them to read this book because it did a great job in helping me pick up my pace and improve my intensity.
Daniel's Running Formula is packed with technical information about running and training programs that are easy to read and understand.
In my opinion, if you are running with a goal in mind, like finishing a 10k or running a personal best on a certain distance, then this is a very valuable book to have. My favorite parts in this book are the training templates. You can also get some tips on how to enhance your running training based on your performance.
Coach Jack Daniels is really good in explaining all the concepts. You can see that he'd be good to have as a coach / teacher. Unfortunately I can't, but I can have his running book and that helps a great deal!
